The difference between automatic and foot switch:
The automatic model has no foot switch, and the spot welding is output about 0.5 seconds after the welding pen touches the nickel tape.
For the foot switch model, you need to step on the switch with your foot. After the welding pen touches the nickel tape, it will output spot welding for about 0.5 seconds, and then release the foot switch to complete a spot welding.
