How to Use:    

Step 1: Find the radiator cooling fan    

Finding the radiator cooling fan is the first step to replace it. Turn off your car and let it cool down. Open the hood of the car and you will be able to see the radiator behind the grille in the front of the engine compartment. The radiator cooling fan is installed on the back of the radiator through the mounting bracket. Below the engine and radiator is a cylinder attached to a small housing. In addition to the radiator cooling fan itself, you may also need to replace or repair the radiator cooling fan motor.    

Step 2: Disconnect the power supply    

On the fan motor is a cable leading to the engine. Locate and disconnect the electrical connectors for the engine and radiator fan motor. Use two masking tapes of different colors, and pay attention to the connection of the wires, so that you will not be difficult to reconnect the wires in the future.    

Step 3: Remove the fan housing    

Using a wrench, remove the four screws located at each corner of the fan shroud. Remove the fasteners on both sides of the fan housing at the same time. The radiator cooling fan housing is relatively large. You may need to remove all obstacles such as hoses and wires to remove the fan housing from the car hood. Hold the housing securely and lift it out of the engine compartment. Be careful when removing the fan housing to avoid damaging it. Place the fan housing on a clean workbench.    

Step 4: Remove the radiator cooling fan and fan motor    

The fan blades are fixed or screwed to the shaft. Loosen the fan blade with a screwdriver and slide it if it is off the shaft. You may need to remove the retainer that prevents the fan blades from moving up and down in the shaft. As for the fan motor itself, use a screwdriver to remove it from the fan housing.    

Step 5: Connect the replacement radiator cooling fan and fan motor    

Install the new fan motor into the fan housing. Slide the replacement radiator cooling fan into the shaft, insert the positioner and secure the new cooling fan and positioner in place. Replace the fan housing and secure the screws and fasteners. Reconnect the hoses and wires that you removed in step 3. Connect the fan motor to the vehicle electrical system using the electrical tape you made in step 2. You have just learned how to replace the radiator cooling fan and the radiator cooling fan motor.
