    How to use：

    Wipe the metal probes on the 3-in-1 tester with a dry rag, Moisture or the remnants of other soil tests might give an inaccurate reading for this soil test.

    Insert the probes 4to6 inches into the soil you want to test.lf you want to know about conditions for a specific plant,put the tester into the soil as close to the base of the plant as you can.

    Soil PH

    Most plants do well in sol that is between 4 and 6 on a PH scale.A reading of 3.5 will indicate acidic soil that might benefit from some lime to make lt more alkaline.If the reading is over 7 you can use proprietary sulphur products to bring it back toward neutral.

         Light    

    Push the black switch on the 3.in-1 tester to the middle to get alight reading.It measures the amount of sunlight the plant gets there on a scale of0 to 2.000,so you can determine if there ls sufficient shade for plants that do not like full sunlight,or if there is enough sunlight for plants that prefer full sun.Test the light reading several times throughout the day and over the course of the season to get an average reading for that spot in your garden.

    Moisture

    Press the black switch to the left to get a moisture reading from the soil.This also varies widely at different times during the day and season,depending on how often you water, how often it rains and how well the soil type in that area retains moisture.

    Most garden plants like soil that does not have too high clay content and does not drown or them but that retains some moisture.Often,aerating the soil and adding compost helps with the moisture content,regardless of what side of the scale it falls on.The moisture scale for the tester is 0 to 10.

    Remove the tester from the soil and wipe it with the dry rag again before you put it away.If soil sticks to the tester,rinse it with water before you dry it and put it away.
